About

Sometimes, great things happen by circumstance and accident. We had both been searching for the right person to live out our lives with for well longer than most people. One coming off of a divorce, and the other just unlucky in finding the right person. And not wanting to settle for less than she deserved! Neither of us are into the bar scene and found it hard to meet new people. Both of us had kind of given up the search, but had luckily decided to give online dating a try.

Happenstance found us both on a website called Plenty of Fish. We were both interested in online dating, but not interested in the fees charged by most of the sites out there. This one was a free service. Both of us had interacted with other people on the site, but without good results. One spectacular day, Emily decided to email Bradley through the site. We corresponded via email for several days, and decided that maybe we should meet in person to see if this was worthwhile to pursue as a real relationship.

On the fateful day, (February 12, 2009, for the record!) we decided on meeting for drinks at Panera Bread Company on Woodruff Road. Both of us went in thinking this would be a fairly short encounter, and with the right chemistry we could proceed with a follow-up date. It went smashingly! We talked for at least a couple of hours. To the point that the restaurant was trying to close! Not wanting to set a bad tone though, we did not setup a second date anytime the weekend of Valentines! But we did have a second date!

The rest has been a short, but memorable trip!

Since February 2009, Bradley and Emily have spent lots of time together. They have attended numerous concerts and music festivals, including MerleFest and the Bristol Rhythm and Roots Reunion (two of their favorites!). Weekends they like to go hiking in the foothills around northern Greenville County and Asheville. Bradley had already planned a vacation to Belize in March of 2009 when they met, but the pair have been on a couple of vacations together since then to Oak Island, NC and Hot Springs, NC.

They are both looking forward to the honeymoon and their life together.
